Plan your own journey to the Park. Major European airlines have daily scheduled services to major city hubs surrounding the Adirondack Park. These cities include New York, Boston, Baltimore, Montreal, Philadelphia, Chicago, Toronto, and more. How you travel from the cities to the Park is up to you. Plan your next journey with our complimentary air line chart below. From major hubs, there are small regional airports, bus and train rails and car rentals. Major roads service such as the Interstate 90 and Interstate 87 lead from regional airports into the Park. The Park is approximately 90 minutes from Montreal, or 4 1/2 hours from NYC. For the more adventurous travellers, choose scenic rail or coach (see below chart). ![]() Journey planning can include a stop over in the Big Apple, or a visit to Washington DC, Montreal Canada or Boston Massachusetts. All great places to visit. After a couple of days shopping and cities, you'll be ready to USA's largest state owned park. Please be sure to schedule the balance of your journey here in the Park as we have 6 million acres to show you (bigger than the size of Wales).
